Welcome To The Official Website Of

Ken Bichel

Ken Bichel is an Emmy Award winning composer, producer and performer. His approach to the piano is eclectic, being neither Jazz nor Classical (he is Julliard trained), but rather an amalgam based on a lifetime experience of multi-national styles and influences. He improvises freely, but also designs neatly-structured extravaganzas based on pre-existing material.

As a first-call multi-keyboardist in New York City he was the recipient of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences Most Valuable Player award for seven consecutive years, after which he became the first Virtuoso Award winner, a position that he holds in perpetuity

Bichel's performance and recording credits include Aretha Franklin, Luciano Pavarotti, Billy Joel, Peggy Lee, Placido Domingo, Stevie Wonder, The Orchestra of the Sorbonne, James Taylor, Judy Collins, Paul Simon and The American Symphony Orchestra. He has two Gold Records to his credit.

He has composed or recorded for ESPN, CNN, CBS, and ABC television as well as numerous Hollywood feature films.

An internationally acclaimed concert artist, he has performed at the
La Scala opera house in Milan, the American Music Festival in Geneva, in London for the Duchess of Kent, in Hong Kong for the bi-centennial, in Munich with the Bavarian Radio Orchestra and repeatedly at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City.
